Windows 10 finally has official Facebook, Messenger and Instagram apps

One of the big struggles for Microsoft has been getting high quality official apps in the Windows 10 app store. Today marks a pretty significant milestone, with Facebook bringing a collection of very important apps to the store that are compatible with Windows-powered desktops, laptops, and tablets.
The two main apps now available for Windows 10 are an official Facebook app as well as a client for Facebook Messenger. Both apps bring all the features you'd expect: reactions, stickers, notifications, even reminders and trending topics on the Facebook app; and photo sharing, group conversations, GIFs, and integrated notifications on Messenger.
Interestingly, neither of these apps use Microsoft's Universal Windows Platform, which means they are specially built for Windows 10 desktops rather than smartphones. The new Facebook app doesn't work on Windows 10 Mobile at all, while the Messenger app is still a Windows Phone 8.1 version on Microsoft's mobile platform.
Microsoft and Facebook are apparently working on updated Facebook and Messenger apps for Windows 10 Mobile, but they're not ready just yet.
The other app to hit Windows 10 today is an updated version of Instagram, which is available only on Windows 10 Mobile. The app has been available on the platform for some time in beta form, but now it appears Facebook is happy enough to release the app to all. It's a pretty comprehensive port of the iOS Instagram app, so it shouldn't be missing any features.
