Mark Zuckerberg. The Facebook CEO - whose social media presence isn’t limited to his own company - found his Twitter and Pinterest accounts were hacked this weekend and the group responsible claims it was all down to the LinkedIn data dump.
It was Suadi Arabia-based hacking group OurMine that accessed Zuckerberg’s accounts. If the hackers are to be believed, it appears that the Facebook co-founder is guilty of using the same login credentials for multiple sites. This is quite surprising for a man who became one of the richest people in the world on the back of his tech skills and business acumen.

The OurMine team recently gained control of Zuckerberg’s @finkd Twitter account, which he hasn't used since January 2012, before it was suspended and reinstated – minus the offending tweet. Additionally, the group altered his Pinterest page and claimed to have accessed Zuckerberg’s Instagram account, but Facebook denied this.

Katy Perry is another famous name who had her Twitter account hijacked recently, though the two hacks appear unrelated. The singer’s 89 million followers were shocked to see abusive tweets coming from her account, along with links to an unreleased song.

The LinkedIn data dump saw over 100 million members’ email and password combinations posted online. The magnitude of the leak prompted Microsoft to ban the use of weak (stupid) passwords from its systems.
