I had a co-worker email me the other day asking for a blog post about the benefits of blogging.
It's for a friend," she said.
Yeah sure it was.
I told her I will shoot over one of our up-to-date blog posts about why blogging... I couldn't find one. Whoops. Quite the meta mistake.
So now am writing it. If you're trying to explain to one of your core worker about why blogging -- to your boss, your mom at Thanksgiving, a coworker whomever, then send them this post. I hope it helps.
The Benefits of Blogging
First, if you don't know what blogging is all about this Post What You Need To Know About Blogging
should get you up to date
Cool. Let's move on to Benefits of Blogging
1.It helps getting answers to Questions
If we have a question the first thing we do is to ask and what we usually do is to goto Google.com and type in the question. However GOOGLE is just acting as the MIDDLEMAN, its not the one providing the answers. yeah
Most of the times, google simply connects you to a blog that answers your question! isn’t it?
2. It helps Obtaining Info about something New
Whenever there is something new in town, the first place people visit is a blog so as to check what it all about. People learn much info about something by reading a blogs that talked about that same thing.
3. It helps establish authority
If you're consistently creating content that's helpful for your target customer, it'll help establish you as an authority in their eyes. Can you imagine the impact of sending an educational blog post you wrote to clear things up for a confused individual?
If prospects find answers to their common questions via blog posts written by you they're much more likely to come back for new updates
4. It drives long-term results
You know what would be cool? If any of the following things helped you drive site traffic and generate new unique visitors:
Trip to Hawaii
Going to the gym
Sleeping
Good news, though! That's what blogging does -- largely through search engines. Here's what I mean:
Let's say you sit down for an hour and write and publish a blog post today. Let's say that blog post gets you 100 views and 10 unique visitors. You get another 50 views and unique visitors tomorrow as a few more people find it on social media and some of your subscribers get caught up on their email and RSS. But after a couple days, most of the fanfare from that post dies down and you've netted 150 views and unique visitors.
It's not done.
That blog post is now ranking in search engines. That means for days, weeks, months, and years to come.
5. It will help you to start Earning
As time pass by you will start to monitize your contents how? Display ads banners or images similar to. Typically they are positioned on your site in the sidebar, header, footer or within your content. Sometimes they are referred to as banner ads.
Ads on your site are meant to complement your blog’s content, making them attractive and relevant to visitors. Advertisers hope that your visitors will then click on those images to explore and purchase the products or services they offer.
Display ads are often provided through ad networks. Ad networks are companies that connect advertisers with publishers (bloggers). Ad networks act as a middle man between advertisers and publishers, negotiating partnership details between the two. The ad network takes a cut from the partnership profit. Ad networks are attractive to many bloggers because they take the hassle out of display advertising.
Some ad networks, like Google AdSense, are relatively easy to get into and are easy to set up. Other ad networks though, are selective in who they accept. Examples of ad networks are Google AdSense, Blogads, BlogHer, Beacon Ads, Federated Media, Sovrn, (formerly Lijit), Media.net, Rivit and Sway. There are many more.
